Nagpur (in troubled) Times??

well this isnt any bollywood magazine....this is the suppliment that nagpurians get along with The Times Of India-'worlds largest selling english broadsheet newspaper' known as the Nagpur Times which was supposedly started with an intention to keep the educated, bourgeois people of the city informed about the orange city-Nagpur.

But i guess nothing more important, nothing more 'happening' seems to be happening in the lives of twenty four lakh odd people living in the city that is more worth reporting than...hmmm....why didnt tanishaa reply back to udit's SMS??(seems like matter of great international concern which might lead to world war 3)......or......how some singer known as'jojo' wants to act in a movie..(no...not as a dog...)....or is it that perhaps we people have grown too callous, too frustrated, too fearful, too oblivious...by the daily reports of the corruption, murder, riots, theft etc stories and our utter disability to respond to them that we seem to be temporarily content, happy by these hollow, fake celibrity news that do not effect us at all and wish to forget completely about our economic, social problems??

Media has gone from bad to worse. The question that perturbs me is 'Does it pander to what people want to read or are people forced to read what is offered on the platter?' Whatever the case is it is really disheartening and rediculous to say the least. It is unfortunate that youngsters are interested in such glamour and gossips when there are more important issues to tackle.
...Martyrs like Bhagat Singh who embraced death so that their death would inspire the youth of India in ages to come were, it seems, clearly mistaken!

Well written blog!
..and from a comment from ur friend above it seems that people are taking interest in your blog. Hope u wont disappoint them.

nice one..
INDIA TV shud either be re-started as an entertainment channel or shud shut itself down..
as for ur post its amazing !!!!!!!
the times of india nagpur edition has nothing about nagpur and thats no secret.
but somehow its the crap we get in it thats selling (sad but true)
however serious readers pick up TOI throw away the nagpur times pages and read the paper
:)
and by the way it shud be "nagpur-bunnies" instead of nagpur times :P

keep on blogging !!!!!!!
